In 1996 Warren Morris hit a game winning home run to win the College World Series. In this event we rejoiced in LSU winning the CWS. The question I asked during my homily is what are we rejoicing about during this season of Advent? The simple answer is we are rejoicing over the coming of the Messiah. He freed us from our sinfulness and slavery. May we rejoice in God who brought us salvation.
